Hi guys, Floating Sunfish here with a quick update on how things are going.
Scanlation is still ongoing behind the scenes, although at a slow pace due to IRL stuff and other commitments of all members including myself.
With MD (MangaDex) still looking like it won’t become stable any time soon, I would like to commit that we will be releasing whatever chapters we have ready this holiday season regardless of MD’s status. This wait will be the longest I would be willing to go.
Below are my reasons for not wanting to release our chapters up to this point:
1. I want aggregate sites to properly leech off MD so our releases will reach as wide an audience as possible.
2. MD currently doesn’t have comments, which are something that I cherish for every one of our releases. This is because Mitsudomoe is a niche series, so I value all the comments and emails we get. Yes, your messages mean that much to me, and I assume the rest of the team as well.
If MD does become stable before the holiday season (not likely, but I’m still counting on it), then we will go back to the original plan and release all chapters that we have ready one week after they make the announcement.
As for the YouTube channel, you may have noticed that a lot of the Mitsudomoe Archive videos have been privated. This is because we got two copyright strikes early this year thanks to Sony going around and flagging everything they’ve been involved with on YouTube.
Rest assured that I’m slowly restoring the privated videos, and will go back to uploading new Mitsudomoe videos once everything has been unprivated.
Welp, that’s all I wanted to say for now. See you guys this December! 😉

I imagine it would be easier for you to collect all the colored and extra pages you have (all of which aren’t present in the tankoubons) and upload all of them on mega.nz or somewhere, and then share us the link on sunfishscans@gmail.com.
I’ll be happy to go through all your pages and only keep the ones we don’t have, as I assume we’re still missing quite a lot of pages since the Raws for Volumes 14-19 are Digital Versions, which are missing pages from Physical Versions of the tankoubons.

Glad to hear everything things are going well. After years of translation groups dropping projects out of the blue (especially for visual novels) it’s always a little spooky when your favorite projects don’t have updates for a while. So this is lovely to hear!
I can understand wanting to hold off on MD for a bit longer. Even if you can upload to it just fine it’s a shame fans still can’t have chapter discussions due to the lack of a comment system. You’d think they’d want that ahead of time since social systems help keep people engaged, but at least they’re working on it I suppose.
Unfortunate what’s going on with Sony and the Youtube channel though. I swear, there’s not a single business that doesn’t abuse their ability to flag things over there.
