Sorry about the huge delays on this one. Things have been pretty crazy lately. 😅 You all know how it is.
We had a lot of fun working on today’s chapter, and we hope you guys enjoy it as well! 😊
In other news, our next releases will be some time in the first week of July. I’m planning on making it a batched release for a very special occasion, so please stay tuned! 😉

Airi’s one of my favourite characters

I agree! She’s super underrated as a character! 😊

The SSS girls get a lot of coverage, but not a whole lot outside of the group, unfortunately.

I would prefer Airi was in situations that didn’t involve Satou, and if she wouldn’t think about him every time. I know that’s her character, but she’s too cute for that.
I love Mitsudomoe, but I wish the characters felt more personal and realistic, had more than just one interest, and had “a life of their own”. They are growing children, so I’d like to see them develop.
I know the series didn’t intend to be a slice of life. But these characters are so good to the point where they have the potential to be fourth dimensional and have their own story. The fact that I see that is underwhelming because that’s just not how they are.
But I’ve only read up to this chapter so far, so I can’t say they’re like that.

Yeah, I sometimes wish this show went different places with its characters too, but seeing as how it’s a gag series first and slice of life series second, I don’t see it happening anytime soon. 😓
Though I suppose that’s for the best since the series might lose some of its charm if it went too far in the slice of life route. Only time will tell. 🙂
And hey, all the more potential for doujins and fanfics, am I right? 😉

It’s pretty obvious to look at the supporting characters and notice, as you say, that they have one interest, or you could say that they were written with a singular premise in mind. Some of them are archetypes meant to fill a roll in the plot of the chapters. When a character gets more screen time, they get more developed, and this it true in Mitsudomoe too, but super extreme characters like Airi, Shiori, and Matsuoka tend to stay pretty much the same as when they were introduced. They do get some character development chapters, but it seems like part of the joke with them is how much they don’t change despite everything.
The characters do have a lot of potential. I’ve written a bunch of fan fiction ideas using the Mitsudomoe characters in a more serious way, and it’s fairly easy even for me to be both original and faithful with how much unused potential they have.

Now there’s something I’d like to see someday! 😊

Hell, I’m not against it. I do fan fics all the time for therapeutic reasons, but it might be interesting to other people too.
