Mitsudomoe Season 2 Special Ending Released!

“Don’t make endings where I die!”

Huh, that went by pretty fast… Anyway, it struck me as weird when they first played Nearer, My God, to Thee at the end of Season 2 Episode 4 since I didn’t get the reference. The Mitsudomoe Wiki explains that it was actually a reference to the scene in Titanic when it was played by the orchestra as it sank along with the ship. The more you know, I guess. 😛

Mitsudomoe Season 2 Ending Theme Released!

Wow… I had a harder time with this than I thought I would. The lyrics just felt so… shall we say “unrelated” with each other that I had an extremely tough time translating everything. I’m really glad I managed to make sense of it all, actually. For those of you who were wondering what all those words were all these years, here you go! Phew! Time for a short break! 😉

Announcement: New Doujin Page Available!

Hi guys, I just added a new page here on the site where I’ll be posting some translated non-H Mitsudomoe Doujins from around the net by various other translators.

You can view the page here.

Starting things off is a very special two-part doujin by DarkMac and derEX, followed by a small collection of short fan-made Mitsudomoe chapters.

I had a lot of fun reading them, and I hope you guys do too as well!

Please support the original translators in any way you can, either by visiting their site and liking & commenting on their posts, or helping spread the word to other Mitsudomoe fans around the net.

Happy reading, everyone! 🙂

Mitsudomoe Season 2 Opening Theme Released!

I gotta say, the first time I saw this intro, I was completely blown away! Never have I seen such flashy animation and upbeat music working together in perfect harmony. The pacing was just right, everything onscreen was coherent and easy to follow… Man, the guys at Studio Bridge really upped the ante with Season 2. 🙂

Here’s hoping they (or someone else? :P) once again pick up Mitsudomoe for another season in the future. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, just in case. 😉

Only eight more songs to go, you guys!

Mitsudomoe Season 2 Special Closing Released!

Man, this has gotta be one of my favorite songs from the whole show. Masaaki Endoh really left his mark on this super-awesome series — everything about the episode was well thought-out and perfectly executed. He really made the special feel authentic and memorable to those who recognized his voice.

The whole thing was a Sentai Hero show parody through and through — the actors in the Gachi Ranger costumes were clearly different from the ones we see on the outside (Gachi Pink being the most obvious due to the drastic change in bust size as noted in one of the Yonkoma), some of the rangers wobbling while posing during the intro… Heck, they even used a stunt double for Gachi Pink that one time during the bus scene! The guys at Studio Bridge really did their homework with that episode and it showed.

I really enjoyed translating this song and I hope you guys will enjoy listening to it too! Only 9 more songs to go! Woo-hoo!

Mitsudomoe Season 2 Special Opening Released!

“Feel our Gachi-raaaaaaage!!” XD

Man, I gotta say, Studio Bridge getting Masaaki Endoh himself (famed hot-blooded Anime and Tokusatsu/Sentai singer) for the Gachi Rangers theme song was a spark of genius — genius, I say!

It really shows how much thought and effort they put into making this awesome series. 🙂

Someone raise a Kickstarter petition or something for Season 3; we need more Mitsudomoe!!

Also, you guys can finally start the countdown since we only have 10 more songs before I get back to translating the original manga chapters! Hooray! 😀

Mitsudomoe Season 1 Ending Theme (Solo Version) Released!

What a pleasant surprise, it’s the acoustic version of the song! I still prefer the original version, though. 🙂

Mitsudomoe Season 1 Ending Theme Released!

I don’t know about you guys, but this is hands-down my favorite  song in the entire series, regardless of how unrelated it may be to the show.

I fell in love with it so much the first time I heard it, I never skipped it once. Hope it brings back some nice memories of Season 1 for you guys as well. Pleasant dreams! 😉

Mitsudomoe Season 1 Opening Song Released!

And here we have a song that I feel is very near and dear to every Mitsudomoe fan since it’s probably the very first thing they heard before jumping head first into this awesome series.

Season 2’s intro may be pretty flashy and catchy, but Season 1’s intro will always have a special place in my heart! 🙂

Also note that you may notice some slight differences in translation with the anime subtitles version since I opted to go for a more faithful translation. This being one of the series’ most well-known songs, I don’t really blame anyone if they still prefer the anime subtitles version over this one — though I still feel it makes much more sense than the anime subtitles version. 😉

Satou & Chiba Character Song #1 Released!

Welp, that does it for all the Character songs! We’ve reached quite a milestone here, you guys. 😉 Next up will be the all theme songs from the series — it’s all downhill from here! 😀

Oddly enough, I enjoyed translating this song more that I thought I would. Maybe it was all those throwbacks to previous chapters and episodes. I’m such a Mitsudomo-nerd. 😛

Also, if you’ve read the entry for this song on the Mitsudomoe Wiki that says Satou is “revealed to actually be a closet-pervert,” you can safely disregard that info as there is no evidence to prove it (I’ll be doing some cleaning up on the Wiki myself after all this is over. The character songs section is in need of some heavy sprucing up).

Thank goodness Mr. Marui was right about Satou being a good kid! That was such a relief! 🙂
