Yabecchi Character Song #1 Released!

At first I thought it was weird how Futaba of all people got paired up with Yabecchi, until I realized she was the only triplet that didn’t have a duet yet — plus she’s the only one who won’t constantly berate him while recording. 😛

One of 2 songs included in the show is a very forth wall breaking wtf moment.

The translation seems quite different to my memory of one I previously read, I guess some things are up to interpretation, like most things in this show.

Have to admit I am waiting for the songs to finish so I can get back to some manga issues, I’m rotting…

Just wish they had continued the anime, I have to watching a bunch but can’t find any that compare.

Huh, that’s weird. I never knew there were any existing translations of the song aside from the first verse in Episode 13 of Season 1.

Also, I completely agree with you — no anime as of this writing has even come close to the kind of humor Mitsudomoe featured. Here’s hoping someone convinces Studio Bridge to make a Season 3 just for the Western fanbase which seems to be bigger than the one in Japan. 😛

Anyway, I’ll try to wrap things up as fast as I can — I also can’t wait to get back to working on the manga chapters. Thank you all for your patience. 🙂

Well, isn’t like there are many series like Mitsudomoe with elementary school kids as protagonists.

Generally this type of gag show has high school students as protagonists, and while there are shows of the sort like Doraemon or Dr.Slump, is certainly true that Mitsudomoe was the fist one in using the same formula used in High School gags applied to elementary students, and certainly worked, judging all the followers in Twitter and the numerous works submitted (and being submitted even today) to Pixiv about it.

This song belongs to the first 2 or 3 anime episodes temporal line. In this one you get Futaba-chan being brutally honest again. She tells to Yabe how he is seen by her sisters, and her classmates… She also somewhat thinks that Yabe isn’t a good teacher and says it, but in the end she confess not disliking him so much, which means in the context that she is fine with him. In effect, in the show you can see Futaba and Yabe talking very openly in many occasions.

Is interesting to see triplets and class opinion about Yabe (and Yabe opinion about himself), taking in count all the stuff that he has been doing for them. He managed to make triplet sisters to get along with the rest of their classmates, and managed to get the once known as the worst class, the 6-3 group, along with the rest of the school. He even managed to guide them well enough so they could win objectives and competitions for group enjoyment. He managed to teach stuff to the class. Finally, but no less important, for their sake he even managed to cover class schemes in the parent reunion at ch.135, understanding that this could would do nothing good to his students. No many teachers are cool enough to do such stuff for their class. He is already in the path to become a good teacher, he just needs more self-confidence.

Ofc, all this is only a perspective about how was in the first chapters. All is now better as i said.

Btw, is ironic how in min. 2:00 Hitoha calls Yabe a “guy that doesn’t have any appeal as a human being”, taking in count that she got a little crunch at him for some time ;-).

Nice work, many thanks for translation. Greetings.
